Ennis Sinn Féin Cathaoirleach Hits Out At Rejection Of NCT-Style Sytstem For Housing

The Cathaoirleach of Ennis Sinn Féin is hitting out at the Housing Minister for rejecting an NCT-style system for rental homes.

The party proposed it on the back of calls from housing charity Threshold, which claims it’ll be the cheapest and fastest way to ensure houses are up to standard.

Eoghan Murphy claims it won’t improve the situation but says he wants to prosecute rogue landlords who rent out substandard homes.
