A ten million euro expansion of an Ennis School has been given the green light by Clare County Council.
It follows an application from the Limerick and Clare Education and Training board on behalf of the Ennis Community College and Gaelcholáiste an Chláir.
The structure on Harmony Row will be over 4,100 square metres and will include multiple classrooms, specialist rooms such as science labs and a full-size state of the art sports hall.

Construction is due to get underway on the project in the coming months after being given the go-ahead by local authority planners last evening.
