An Ennis resident is condemning a decision by Irish Water to dig up a water metre over 'graffitti'.

Workers called to the home of Christina Whelan of College Park, Ennis with a jackhammer after her grandchildren inscribed their names in wet cement when it was being installed.
In a statement to Clare FM, Irish Water says improvement works are being carried out as initial works were not compliant..
Christina believes the matter is of little consequence to anyone.
