Ennis Rally Navigator hospitalised after Portlaoise Crash

Grainne McEnery – who is an award winning rally navigator, was injured during the Heartlands race in Portlaoise yesterday afternoon.

She suffered head trauma and is currently in a critical but stable condition at Beaumont Hospital where its understood she has been placed in an induced coma by medical staff.

The Ennis native who is the navigator for Kerry driver Mike Quinn last year claimed the Top Part West Coast Rally Co- Driver of the year and is the first Clare competitor to win the championship since its inception in 1993.
