A Clare nursing home has rectified previously identified non-compliance issues according to a new report.
The Health Information and Quality Authority has found Ennis Nursing Home fully compliant in all areas assessed.
When the health watchdog carried out their previous inspection of the facility in May of last year, inspectors noted two non-compliances.
Ennis Nursing Home was found not to conform with regulations surrounding the premises as well as in the area of governance and management.
Inspectors noted rooms were ‘not maintained in a good state of repair’ and due to the same issue being identified during a previous visit, this resulted in a breach of governance regulations.
HIQA carried out their most recent inspection on May 28th of this year and found Ennis Nursing Home fully compliant on this occasion.
Inspectors noted that the issues surrounding the conditions in the rooms were rectified stating the centre ‘provided appropriate facilities for the number of residents and their assessed needs, in accordance with the statement of purpose’.
Inspectors also stated the facility was also now compliant in the area of governance and management, noting ‘there were effective governance arrangements’ and ‘sufficient resources available and an effective monitoring system in place’.
