It’s a day of nostalgia at Ennis National School as 40 years of education are celebrated on the Kilrush Road.

Around 600 pupils at the school will move to a brand new building at Ashline in September, but before that, students, teachers – past and present and their families are being invited to the school for a trip down memory lane as part of the Gathering.
Events continue with Music and Mass at the Cathedral in Ennis from 7 and a social in the Old Ground Hotel tonight.
Tom Glynn taught at Ennis National School from 1974 until 2012 and is part of the organising team for todays events
