Ennis Mother Calls For Increased Resources At Acute Psychiatric Unit

An Ennis mother is calling for increased resources at the acute psychiatric unit in Ennis.

Maria Ryan previously campaigned against head shops in Clare, and now she says she’s been meeting young drug addicts on the county town’s streets to plead with them to try to get help.

Speaking ahead of a public meeting on mental health at Treacy’s West County later this month, Maria says she’s gathered twenty hand-written testimonials from young people who are addicted to drugs.
