Ennis area Fianna Fàil representative Brian Meaney has been eliminated after the seventh count.
The Darragh native polled 302 first preference votes, and picked up 18 more ballots through transfers before his elimination.

Brian Meaney was an outgoing member of Clare County Council, and Ennis Town Council.
He had previously served as a member of the Green Party before joining Fianna Fáil.
