The Mayor of Ennis believes the vast majority of people in Clare would support a ban election posters.

A number of Councillors, including former TD James Breen and recent General Election candidates Ann Norton and Clare Colleran Molloy, backed a motion to this effect at last night's meeting of the local authority.
Some concerns were expressed, however, that any outright ban would be a disadvantage to those seeking election for the first time.
However Pat Daly, who put forward the motion says there's plenty other ways for candidates to get their message across
