Ennis Man Who Received Kidney 25 Years Ago Hails ‘Life Saving’ Procedure On World Kidney Day

An Ennis man who received a kidney donation 25 years ago says the experience has been ‘life changing and life saving’.

Today is World Kidney Day, with estimates suggesting as many as 1 in 10 people in Ireland may be living with Chronic Kidney Disease.

It’s projected to become the fifth leading cause of death worldwide by 2040.
