The Grant Thornton REI Retail Productivity Review shows that some sectors performed well in the second quarter of this year, whilst others experienced decline.

A spell of good weather in late May and early June helped Agriculture and Gardening businesses, which saw over 9% growth for the quarter, however, industries like fashion and footwear saw a decline.

Director of Communications with Retail Excellence Ireland, Lynn Drumgoole believes political instability may have contributed to the lack of overall growth.
