The Ennis to Limerick rail line is reopening today.

It has been closed since the 2nd of February because of extensive flooding at Ballycar near Newmarket on Fergus, which left the track submerged in almost 2 metres of water.
Repairing the track was complicated by the slow draining nature of the land in the area.
Bus transfers have been in place during the closure.
