Ennis-Limerick Line Will Remain Closed Until At Least April

Rail users in Clare face disruption for a further two months with the Ennis to Limerick rail line now not expected to re-open at least early April. 

A section of track remains underwater at Ballycar, Newmarket-on-Fergus following the heavy rain of recent months, with shuttle buses continuing the operate along the route.

It had been hoped the line would be opened again this month. 

However, Jane Cregan from Iarnrod Eireann says this will not now be the case as water levels in the area continue to rise.
