The traditional music festival will include a number of outdoor performances, and laneways are to be inspected and repaired in the coming months.
Meanwhile, the town is also set to be surveyed to see how accessible it is for wheelchair users.
Hundreds of thousands of people are due to come here for the Fleadh in August, and Barefield Independent Councillor Ann Norton estimates that around 10,000 of these will be people with disabilities.
