Ennis Town Council and The Gum Litter Taskforce are reminding people of the importance of correctly disposing of chewing gum.
Council officials and Members of the Ennis Tidy Towns Committee will gather in O’ Connell Street, Ennis today to promote the Gum Litter Campaign.
Environmental officers will also be present to demonstrate how time consuming the removal of chewing gum from pavements can be.
The Council are reminding people that the incorrect disposal of chewing gum can result in a 150 euro fine.
