Ennis Insurer Fears Government Levy On Insurance Will Rise To Meet Setanta Bill

An Ennis insurer believes the government levy on insurance policies will rise in the wake of the Setanta Insurance rebates.

It’s after the Minister for Finance said the state will ensure that third party claimants affected by the firm’s collapse in 2014 are compensated in full.

It’s understood that around 1,600 claims are outstanding at a cost of €90 million.
