An Ennis-based insurance broker is hopeful new regulations set to be introduced next month will lead to reduced costs for drivers.
From the beginning of next month, it will become a legal requirement to supply drivers license numbers to insurance providers in order to renew a policy.

This change is aimed at reducing the amount of uninsured drivers, as around 8% of all road users in Ireland currently don’t have insurance.
Branch Manager Munstergroup Insurance, Michael Henchy says a reduction in payouts for incidents involving uninsured drivers will put money back in people’s pockets in the long run.
