Ennis Hotelier Claims Tourists Being Driven To Dublin Due To National Policy

A prominent Ennis hotelier claims national policy is driving tourists to Dublin and ignoring the west.

It comes as the latest report on the hotel industry from Crowe Horwath shows the Western Seaboard – of which Clare is a part – has the lowest average nightly rate in the country, at €79.

This compares with the capital which has exceeded boom-time rates, at over €128 per night.
