An Ennis hotel was evacuated in the early hours of this morning following a fire.
Staff and guests at Treacy's West County Hotel, including those attending a deb's ball, were alerted to the fire around 2am.
Emergency services were alerted around two o'clock this morning after a fire was discovered in a toilet in the West County Hotel in Ennis.
Three units of the Ennis Fire Brigade and Gardaí attended the scene and the fire was brought under control short time later.
It's understood that several rolls of toilet paper had been set alight and staff and guests were evacuated as a precaution when the hotel's fire alarm system sounded.
Hotel management are investigating the incident and are understood to be examining CCTV footage in an effort to identify a possible culprit.
