Ennis is hosting the annual commemoration of Éamon De Valera this afternoon.
The ceremony is taking place at the statue erected in his honour outside Ennis Courthouse.

De Valera’s grandson and TD for Galway West, Éamon Ó Cúiv, is the guest of honour at the event and is addressing those gathered.
He says Dev never lost his strong connection with county Clare throughout his life.
