The Clare-based President of the Irish Road Haulage Association is reassuring that help is available to assist drivers who are yet to apply for emergency government funding.
The deadline for truck drivers to apply for an 800-euro Emergency Support Scheme funding has been extended until the 6th of June.

The scheme was announced in March, in response to rising fuel and other business costs in the sector.
Ennis Haulier, Eugene Drennan says the funding has been essential for many drivers in the industry.
