An Ennis doctor is warning that free GP care can’t be extended without adequate resources.
As part of Budget 2023, more than 430,000 people will be eligible for a GP visit card – meaning that more than half the population will now have either a GP visit card or a full medical card.
Broken down, the additional patients now eligible for free care will equate to approximately 150 extra GP cards per doctor.
