Ennis GP Concerned About ‘Scramble For Vaccines’ As Rollout Begins For Medically Vulnerable

An Ennis GP says she’s concerned about a potential ‘scramble for vaccines’ in the next number of weeks as the COVID-19 jab is rolled out to the younger population.

It comes as medically vulnerable people begin being inoculated across the country today, with the last of those aged over 85 to receive their first doses.

The HSE says the job of drawing up the full list of people with underlying health conditions will take until the end of March.

Locally, the Ennis Medical Centre has vaccinated several hundred people aged over 80 since their first batches of the jab began arriving over a fortnight ago.
