The study, which was published yesterday, focused on the Fergus and Burren Wards and found the physical environment of both was very clean, with few exceptions.
Some concerns were raised about hand hygiene, though of 5 reports published yesterday, Ennis was the best performing hospital.
Ennis West Independent Councillor James Breen says the county hospital should be used as an example for others throughout Ireland.
