Ennis Flood Works Given The Green Light

The third phase of the Ennis South Flood Relief Scheme has been given the go-ahead.

Funding has now been provided by the OPW and construction is due begin once the tendering process is complete in eight weeks time.

The works include an overflow culvert from St Flannan’s Stream and the upgrade of the existing flood defence embankment between the Quin Road and the Clarecastle tidal barrage.
