Ennis Event Planned For International Women’s Day

Women in Ennis will be coming together tuday to celebrate International Women’s Day.

A special gathering at the Bridge at Bank Place at 1 o’clock is one of a number of events taking place in Clare, to mark the occasion.

The Clare events coincide with a number of high profile events taking place across the country including the 7th World Congress on Women’s Mental Health in Dublin.

The Irish Cancer Society is highlighting the women fighting the disease, while the Irish Congress of Trade Unions is calling for a series of new and concrete measures to tackle what it says is the ongoing gender pay gap.

The Clare Women’s Network for the sixth year running invite you to stand in solidarity with our sisters in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda, crossing bridges to peace and development and the eradication of the physical and sexual violence used against women globally. 

Fundraiser – 7:30 – 9:30 pm, Ennis Community Development Project, Clonroad Business Park
