It’s claimed Ennis has been engulfed in sadness following the tragic death of an 18 month-old boy in a road traffic incident.
The toddler, named locally as Hunter Molloy died in an incident involving a car shortly before 12:30 yesterday afternoon, at the Ballaghboy Halting Site on the Quin Road.

He was rushed to University Hospital Limerick but later died from his injuries.
The scene has been preserved for Garda forensic collision investigators and a family liaison officer has been appointed.
