Ennis Councillors have expressed sympathies with the Arizona communities destroyed by wildfires, and the families of the 19 fire fighters who perished whilst tackling the blaze.

The men died while fighting the fire near the town of Yarnell, which is less than 80 miles from the state capital Phoenix.
The County Town has a 25 year twinning arrangement with the American city, and over 100 people travelled from there to Clare for the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations earlier this year.
