Ennis Councillor Says CCTV Funding Needed To Combat Illegal Dumping

An Ennis Councillor says more funding for CCTV cameras are among the measures needed to combat illegal dumping in the town.

It follows concerns raised that bags of rubbish are being dumped on O Connell Street and that tracking down the perpetrators in such instances is difficult.

There have also been calls for more bins to be made available in Ennis and a number of Clare’s coastal areas as preparations begin for a mostly outdoor summer.
