Ennis Councillor Calls For Traffic Management Plan For New Community Hospital

An Ennis Councillor is calling for a traffic management plan to be put in place as part of a new €25 million community hospital in the county town.

Plans for a 100-bed community nursing unit to be built on a new green field site at Clonroadmore, near the Turnpike Road and adjacent to St. Flannan’s College, have been lodged by the HSE.

The development pledges to introduce a vehicular, pedestrian and cycle entrance and access road into the site.

However, Gallows Hill resident and local Fianna Fail Councillor Pat Daly has been telling Clare FM’s Josh Prenderville that passing traffic and the area’s population need to be accommodated.
