An Ennis Councillor is calling for immediate intervention into the impending sale of land on the Quin Road which contains vital sewerage infrastructure.
Fine Gael Councillor Johnny Flynn is requesting Clare County Council to conduct an urgent negotiation with the Shannon Airport Group in relation to public land in the Quin Road Business Park which is scheduled to be sold next Wednesday.
The section of land contains essential infrastructure such as footpaths, public lighting and sewerage infrastructure, including the critical pump house which serves the adjoining Bruach na hAbhainn estate.
Councillor Flynn wants the sale to be deferred in order to facilitate the transfer of these services to Clare County Council and Irish Water.
