Car Parking Charges and Commercial rates remain unchanged in Ennis Town Council’s financial plans for the New Year.

Clare’s largest urban authority ratified a 12 million euro budget last night, and despite concerns over small business closures and unemployment, councillors agreed they’re not in a position to cut rates due to a drop in the level of rates collected and reduced government funding.
Car Parking costs also remain static, and Ennis Town Manager Ger Dollard explained that continued financial constraints mean local charges are vital to fund services in the town
