An Ennis Councillor has raised concerns over a campaign of what’s been described as vile and threatening phone calls directed at female elected representatives.
Gardaí are currently investigating reports of repeated telephone calls made by the same individual to up to 70 councillors nationwide

The calls, which have been described as containing disturbing and inappropriate sexual comments have been directed at at least two Clare County Councillors.
Ennis Fine Gael Councillor Mary Howard says it has made her feel her safety is at risk.
