Ennis is to receive a boost today with the opening of the town's first ever Christmas market.
Clare County Council has come together with local market traders to host the event which runs at the new covered market until Sunday.
Visitors will be able to do their Christmas shopping with trader stalls providing a number of products while, santa and his elves will arrive at the Christmas Market grotto, with the help of the Ennis Fire and Rescue Service at 4 o'clock.
