Ennis Christmas Lights To Be Turned On This Evening After ‘Tough’ Two Years

Ennis’ Christmas lights are to be turned on this evening as the town and the rest of the county begins counting down to the festive season.

Free parking in the town’s public car parks is also getting underway today, with the market in Abbey Street beginning next Thursday.

The lights will only be on for twelve hours a day this year due to energy conservation reasons, between 3pm and 3am.

 

Speaking with Clare FM’s Josh Prenderville, Mayor of the Ennis Municipal District, Fianna Fail Councillor Clare Colleran Molloy says there’s a busy evening ahead.
