Ennis Chamber has welcomed moves that should see the resumption of upgrade works on Parnell Street.
Despite calls by businesses for the work to be carried out during the current lockdown, while streets are more quiet, Clare County Council had argued that the project did not meet the government’s definition of “essential” construction, which is permitted at this time.
However, after talks with Ennis Chamber, Minister Darragh O’Brien has made direct contact with the County Council to express his support for the resumption of the works.
