Ennis Chamber says it will continue to fight for the prevention of further rates increases for businesses in the town in 2017.

It comes following a meeting with Clare County Council where a letter submitted to the December meeting of the local authority over mesures included in the budget plan for this year was discussed.
Failing an agreement on the reversal of the commercial rates increase, Ennis Chamber is now calling for the revision and expansion of incentive schemes, the creation of a town team and the provision of 500 new permanent car parking spaces.
