Rounding starts today, which means one and two cent coins are now being gradually phased out.
The five cent coin will become Ireland's smallest coin, and your change will be rounded up or down to the nearest five cent.
The Central Bank's Rounding scheme will be done on a voluntary basis – and one and two cent coins will remain legal tender.
