The CEO of Ennis Chamber claims the town is being ‘forgotten’ by IDA Ireland in terms of attracting foreign direct investment.
It comes as the agency’s reported an increase of 3.4 percent of FDI employment in the Midwest region including Clare in 2022.

A key target of the Ennis 2040 plan is to attract ‘one large multinational employer’ to the town by 2025.
Ennis Chamber CEO Margaret O’ Brien feels the town’s growth has been mainly facilitated by indigenous businesses.
