Ennis Chamber is calling on the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation as well as the IDA to intervene in the proposed exit of Roche from their site in Clarecastle.

The company is to windown its operation by 2019 following a global review of operations – the Clarecastle facility is one of four worldwide to be shut down.
Ennis Chamber estimate that a closure of this magnitude and loss of jobs would result in a loss of €20 million per year to the Clare economy.
