Ennis Town Centre’s a car free zone today in a bid to boost last minute Christmas shopping.
The pedestrianisation of both O’Connell and Abbey Streets is one of a number of initiatives implemented by the Town Council in an effort to encourage people to support local businesses over the festive season.

Both streets will be car free between 12 and 6 today and again next Saturday- Christmas Eve.
Other measures to boost Christmas Trade in the town include free parking up until 12 pm daily and Christmas music throughout the town to raise spirits.
