Members of Ennis Chamber of Commerce meet with the  Minister for Trade and Commerce today to discuss local businesses access to credit and loans.

Minister Billy Kelleher will outline government plans in relation to bank lending and help guide future government policies on the issue.

The meeting comes after figures on Friday revealed that the number of unemployed people in Clare has passed the 10,000 mark for the first time in recent years.

CEO of the Ennis Chamber of Commerce Rita Mc Inerney says it will give local businesses a chance to outline, first hand the problems affecting people in trying to get loans and credit.
