Ennis-Based Russian Says Putin’s Victory Day Speech Filled With Excuses To Justify War

A Russian woman based in Clare says Vladimyr Putin’s Victory Day Speech was filled with excuses to justify the country’s war on Ukraine.

During the annual parade marking victory over Nazi Germany in World War Two, Vladimir Putin claimed it was necessary to attack Ukraine because of a western ‘invasion plan’.

Tatiana Timofeeva, who’s in constant contact with friends and family in Russia, says support for the war is waning there.
