Ennis-Based Retired Nurse Raising Awareness Of Multiple Sclerosis Ahead Of World MS Day

An Ennis-based retired nurse with multiple sclerosis says the disease should not prevent those who have it from ‘getting on with their lives’.

World MS Day takes place this Sunday May 30th, with it being the most common dehabilitating neurological condition affecting young adults in Ireland.

Around 9,000 nationwide are believed to be living with MS.

Margaret Lohan-Gunning, who was diagnosed with secondary progressive MS after moving to Ennis, says the disease affects different people in different ways.
