An Ennis-based lobby group is warning there’s uncertainty over whether non-essential retail will remain open for the duration of the new level five restrictions.
The country will move to the highest level of restrictions on the government’s COVID-19 road map this week, with some modifications including retailers being allowed to keep their doors open.

However, these measures will be reviewed on the 12th of January, with growing concerns that they may remain in place for a number of months.
Managing Director of Retail Excellence, Duncan Graham, says nothing is certain due to the trajectory of the virus.
