An Ennis-based Irish language activist believes every child looking to attend a Gaeltacht summer course has an “equal right” to the language.
Conradh na Gaeilge has highlighted the barriers facing some families who wish to send their children to the Gaeltacht, with some course fees exceeding €1,000.
The organisation is funding of “somewhere around €10 million” to enable more children to attend Gaeltacht summer courses and prevent the experience from becoming cost-prohibitive.
