An Ennis-based Insurance broker has described new plans to tackle rising insurance premiums as a step in the right direction.
The 71 point plan includes the creation of a data base of fraudulent claims, and a commission to look at levels of insurance awards, while it also recommends that insurers must explain the reasons for price hikes to customers.
Reports suggest it could take up to two years for the plan to be implemented but CEO of Munster Group Insurance Padraic McNicholas, believes that won't be the case.
