Clare County Council hopes to publish a final version of its vision for Ennis next Spring.
The Council is entering into the closing stages of preparing the Ennis 2040 Economic and Spatial Strategy, which it says will lay out a vision for the county town, and assist it in attracting inward investment.
A multi-disciplinary team led by economic consultants GVA Grimley Ltd. has been appointed, and the document will also include a marketing strategy for Ennis and its Environs for the next two decades and beyond.
It’s expected that the plan will earmark key sites for development, and the Council’s Director of Services for Economic Development and Planning, Liam Conneely, says it’s a hugely important plan:
