Emergency services are dealing with a serious road crash on the N18 between Bunratty and Sixmilebridge this evening.
A section of the road is believed to be closed near Hurler’s Cross southbound, with motorists being encouraged to avoid the area if possible.
It’s understood the single vehicle collision happened this afternoon between exit 6 and 7 of the road on the Limerick side.
Gardai and six units of the fire service from Ennis and Shannon are attending the scene this evening.
The National Ambulance Service is also understood to be present at the site of the incident.
The section of the road near the exit is fully closed and drivers are being warned to expect delays and to avoid the area if possible.
Traffic management measures are in place through Sixmilebridge and it’s understood these will be in place into this evening while investigations continue at the crash site.
It is not yet known whether any injuries have occurred in the incident.
