An accident has occured on the M18 motorway near Shannon.

The crash has occured on the Northbound section of the route, between Junctions 9 and 10, and Gardaí have been called to the scene.
It's understood that one vehicle is involved though no further details are available at this stage.
The NRA had also reported high winds on the road between Ennis and Gort, as conditions begin to deteriorate.
